Evan Rogers, a New York-based producer, was having his vacation with his Bajan wife in St. Michael Barbados when he was introduced to Robyn by a friend. Right then and there, Evan asked Robyn to sing for them. Eventually, Robyn was asked to go New York to do some test recordings. In New York, Evan together with Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, Def Jam Recordings head, watched the nervous Robyn do her test recordings. Before the day was over, Robyn had herself a Hollywood contract. Apparently, that girl was Robyn Rihanna Fenty. Born on February 18, 1988 in St.Michael, Barbadios, the 19 year old singer is taking the international charts by storm. Her first single, off her first album Music of The Sun, Pon De Replay reached the #2 spot in US charts during its first play. Since then, Rihanna has conquered the charts with her charm and exotic looks, aside from her powerful but sultry voice.
